IND vs BAN: Kuldeep’s brilliant fifer gives India 254 runs Lead, bundles out Bangladesh for just 150 | Details here

IND vs BAN: Kuldeep Yadav demolished Bangladesh’s middle order in the first Test match at Chattogram, leaving Bangladesh defenceless against the visiting Indian team. Yadav, who was the top bowler on Day 2 with four wickets, dismissed Ebadot Hoassain early on Day 3 to complete his fifer and give India a decisive advantage.

Kuldeep Yadav played crucial knock of 40 runs

Beyond his bowling performance, Yadav provided other benefits to the Indian team during this Test match. The left-arm wrist spinner batted alongside Ravi Ashwin and added significant runs at the end of the innings to help a large total accumulate on a challenging surface.

Since rejoining the team, Kuldeep Yadav has been in and out of various India squads. As Ravindra Jadeja, India’s preferred spin all-rounder, is out injured, the spinner has earned a spot in the Bangladeshi team. In the home Tests, India has always preferred Ravi Ashwin and Axar Patel over Jadeja, but Kuldeep’s outstanding performance against Bangladesh could change that.

Despite being 254 runs behind India, Bangladesh was bowled out for only 150 runs in the first innings. Rahul made the decision not to continue with the hosts.
