IND vs BAN: On the opening day of the first Test match between Team India and Bangladesh in Chattogram on Wednesday, December 14, KL Rahul, the team's acting captain, was out for 22 off 54 balls. The vistors won the toss and chose to bat first in the Test match, however both Indian openers were in the hut for the opening play period.

On the first ball of the 19th over, Khaled Ahmed bowled Rahul. He was dismissed in a pretty predictable way as he sliced a delivery back onto his stumps. A short-of-a-length delivery outside of off stump was bowled by the Bangladeshi pacer. Rahul simply hung his bat at an odd angle while remaining motionless.

The Indian skipper only succeeded in dragging the ball back into his stumps because he was unable to perform a proper stroke on the nothing shot. As soon as the Indian batter heard the sound of timber, his dejection could be seen on his face. Rahul expressed his annoyance by punching his bat with the glove as he walked back.

The 30-year-old batsman made a strong start to his tour to Bangladesh by reaching 73 in the first ODI. He has had difficulty ever since, though. In the following ODI matches, the right-hander was dismissed for 14 and 8 before suffering another defeat in the first innings of the Chattogram Test on Wednesday.

KL Rahul's dismissal was very much trolled by the netizens. He smashed the bat on the pitch and went on.
