IND vs BAN, T20 World Cup 2022: India on roll ! Becomes table-topper with a thrilling 5 run victory over Bangladesh

IND vs BAN, T20 World Cup 2022: India have surged through the victory and become the table-topper with a clean victory of 5 runs (DLS) against Bangladesh. The match which was reduced to 16 overs, after first seven overs of second innings, proved to be a thriller one. Before the rain interferred, the match's momentum was on the side of Bangladesh as they had scored 66 from 7 overs. However, after that, KL Rahul's superb fielding effort to runout the opener Liton Das handed match to India.

Liton was dismissed after scoring 60 from 27 balls. After that, quick wickets ensured that India remains on the winning side. For Bangladesh, no other batter do much significant. Second highest run-scorer for them was Shanto who scored 21 off 25 balls. In the last over, 20 were required but Arshdeep's sensational bowling gave victory to India.

For India, Hardik Pandya took two curcial wickets while shelling 28 runs in his three over spell. Arshdeep Singh who bowled the last over gave 38 runs from four overs while picking two wickets. Mohammed Shami took a wicket as well in his three over spell while shelling 25 runs. Axar, bhuvi, and Ashwin went wicketless.

Kohli and Rahul's fifty powered India to attain the target

After being invited to bat first, Team India posted a total of 184 on board. Thanks to the Virat Kohli heroics of 64 off 44 balls, this score could be attained. Apart from Kohli, KL Rahul scored 50 off 32 balls, announcing his return to the form.

The new world No.1 batsman, Suryakumar Yadav, scored 30 off 16 balls while playing a quick-fiery knock. Meanwhile, skipper Rohit Sharma could manage to score just 2 off 8 balls. For Bangladesh, Hasun Mahmud gave 47 runs in his four over spell while picking three wickets. Skipper Shakib Al Hasan too picked two wickets in four overs while shelling 33 runs. Shoriful Islam proved to be costly as he gave 57 runs in his four over spell with no wicket.
