By winning the match against New Zealand, Pakistan has already advanced to the finale. India is the table toppers of Group 2 whereas England is the runner up from Group 1 who narrowly managed to get to the semi-finals from Australia.

First knockout match between India and England since 2013

India’s campaign has been smooth so far as they have lost just one match against the Proteas. Today’s match also happens to be the first knockout match between both the nations since 2019. It will be intersting to see how Skipper Rohit Sharma fares in his first knockout match as captain. India has been already riding high with Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli’s form. KL Rahul too has seemingly got his form back as seen in last two games.

Moreover, England will be eyeing whom to play as their star pacer Mark Wood has not been in much good form lately. Their batsman too have not performed much significantly lastly.
