India’s start has been shaky as they were bundled out for 219 runs in 47.3 overs. However, the India skipper Shikhar Dhawan showed his valiant form once again before getting dismissed for 28 runs in 45 balls.

Shikhar Dhawan knocks it out of the boundary line

Sanju Samson has not been re-included in the team for this match, and there has been no roster change which has already become a subject of debate amongst fans. The Indian side, which was put in to bat first after losing the toss, did not get the expected start. However, Shikhar Dhawan, the team captain, immediately tried to put pressure on the bowlers. In this instance, the skipper smashed legendary New Zealand bowler Tim Southee for a huge six in the third over of the game.

Everyone was taken aback by what they saw. Fans were astounded by what they saw as the shot was very powerful. Shubman Gill, who was in the shot’s line of sight, also praised the skipper through hand gestures. Shikhar Dhawan additionally hit Matt Henry for a strong four earlier in the second over.

New Zealand leads the series 1-0

Currently, New zealand has a lead of 1-0 in the series, which also means that series can not be won by the Indian side now and they can put effort to just tie the series. The series’ opening game was won by New Zealand by a margin of five wickets, and the second game was called off due to rain. However, the outcome seems to very tough in India’s favour as the batters could not set the target as expected from them in the final game.
