IND VS NZ ICC ODI World Cup 2023: India’s Famed Fielding Crumbles; Fielders Drop Three Catches Back To Back; Watch

IND VS NZ ICC ODI World Cup 2023: The Indian team has been phenomenal on the field in this World Cup so far. They had rarely made any mistakes and were the most conservative team before this match.

Everything changed this match when the Men In Blues looked sloppy on the field and were dropping catches left, right, and center. There were some misfields as well which resulted in Darryl Mitchell scoring a century.

It all started when Ravindra Jadeja of all fielders, dropped a catch. It was one of the rarest sights you will ever see in cricket. This dropped catch was followed by some sloppy fielding and dropped catches that allowed the Kiwis to put their stronghold in the match.

IND VS NZ ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Sloppy Fielding

The match saw some sloppy fielding that we did not expect from the Indian team. The Men In Blues have been in fine form during this campaign, but today was something different. Dropped catches and misfields were all over the place.

Ravindra Jadeja dropped Rachin Ravindra in the 11th over who went on to score 75 runs. Daryl Mitchell was dropped twice and now he has scored a sensational century when he could have been out cheaply.

Jasprit Bumrah dropped him on the boundary line in the 33rd over while Kuldeep was bowling. It would have been a good wicket as Mitchell was constantly targeting Kuldeep and hitting him for boundaries.

Sloppy Ground Conditions

The best fielder medal that has everyone so fired up in the Indian squad might not be given today after such a sloppy fielding performance. This is also the fault of the ground which is really dodgy at the moment.

Shreyas Iyer has been the only fielder that has impressed everyone with his fielding performance today.
