Kane Williamson to join IND vs NZ ODI series

According to New Zealand coach Gary Stead, skipper has a medical appointment and he will rejoin his teammates for the ODI series. Stead remarked, “Kane’s been trying to get this booked in for a while now, but unfortunately it hasn’t been able to fit into our schedule. The health and well-being of our players and staff is paramount, and we look forward to seeing him in Auckland."

Williamson's replacement, Mark Chapman, has been added to New Zealand's squad for the final T20I, which will be played in Napier.

Who will lead the Kiwis' team?

In the third T20I, Tim Southee, who scored a hat-trick in the second T20I, will captain New Zealand.
India overcame New Zealand by 65 runs on Sunday in the second match, which was again briefly stopped by weather, after the series opener in Wellington was abandoned without toss owing to severe rain.

India leads the series 1-0

At the Bay Oval, Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 111 to help the Hardik Pandya-led team reach 191/6 in 20 overs after being given the opportunity to bat first. In the final over, Southee went 3-for-3 to keep Suryakumar off the strike.

But at no point did New Zealand appear to be in complete command in the chase. From the first over, when Finn Allen hit out at third man for a duck, they kept losing wickets often. Williamson made a half-century, but none of his other batters helped him, and in 18.5 overs, they were all out for 126.
