IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2022: The eagerly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is slated to kick off in Australia on Sunday. The action, though, begins on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) when Rohit Sharma's Men in Blue play their bitter rivals, Pakistan. With this match, the neighbours will launch their campaigns for the main event, and India will attempt to avenge last year's humiliation in the UAE.

The MCG will be packed on matchday because all tickets for the game on October 23 have already been sold out, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC). The MCG has posted a video showing how the venue is being set up for the huge event, which includes the historic match between India and Pakistan.

A timelapse video of the final stadium preparations was published by the MCG. The historic stadium played home to the Australia Football League (AFL) Grand Final on September 24, in which the Geelong Cats won their 16th straight game by defeating the Sydney Swans 20.13 (133): 8.4. (52).

"The last football game of the year was played at the 'G just nine days ago. It is now prepared for the summer, the MCG tweeted. The MCG is the second-largest cricket venue in the world, behind India's Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, with a capacity of 100,024. More than 800,000 spectators are anticipated to attend the international tournament when it makes its first stop in Australia, and there are still plenty of opportunities for supporters to get tickets to all subsequent fixtures in the general public sale.

CEO says that the response have been fantastic

The response from the fans has been fantastic, and we're proud that we were able to reward our fans who bought tickets to the postponed event in 2020 and those who registered early with us to get priority access to tickets in the pre-sale. ICC men's T20 World Cup 2022 Local Organising Committee CEO Michelle Enright said, "The response from the fans has been fantastic."

The T20 World Cup final for 2022 will take place at the MCG on November 13. Seven locations - Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Geelong, Hobart, and Perth — will host the competition.
