IND Vs SA T20I: Indian premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of T20I series against South Africa. After this, people start speculating about his absence in T20 World Cup 2022. BCCI official said  to PTI, “Bumrah needs to rest for six months to come back in form, It’s impossible for him to T20 World Cup in Australia.” According to latest reports, Mohammed Siraj will replace  the injured Jasprit Bumrah for the remaining two matches in the T20I series against South Africa. BCCI issued a statement on Friday. BCCI tweeted this information, “NEWS : Mohd. Siraj replaces injured Jasprit Bumrah in T20I squad. #TeamIndia | #INDvSA

Siraj played five T20Is for India

BCCI said in a statement, “Bumrah has sustained a back injury and he is currently under the supervision of the BCCI Medical Team.” The remaining two T20Is of the series will be played in Guwahati on October 2 and in Indore on October 4. Mohammed Siraj has played five T20Is for India, he last appeared against Sri Lanka earlier this year. Currently, the 28-year-old pacer was playing county cricket for Warcwickshire.

Bumrah did not play the first T20 against South Africa on Wednesday. After the match, he flew to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for the back condition to be well. Bumrah had also missed the Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE last month due to the back injury.
