IND vs SL: Sri Lanka have eked out a thrilling win against India by 16 runs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune during the second T20I. Chasing the target of 207 runs, India lost five wickets for just 57 runs. Sri Lanka bowlers had dominated the proceeding till then. Later Axar Patel and Suryakumar Yadav added 91 runs for the sixth wicket.
Axar and Suryakumar rained sixes in the middle-overs. Axar started taking on Sri Lankan spinners heavily and went on scoring a half century in just 20 deliveries.
Suryakumar, Mavi fired too
Suryakumar also scored 51 runs with 3 sixes and 3 fours. Suryakumar got out un the 16th over while Axar batted till last. Later Shivam Mavi helped Indian innings to reach closer to the target. But Indian batter failed to cross the line.
Series level at 1-1
Earlier, Sri Lanka Sri Lanka had put out 206 runs in 20 overs with Dasun Shanaka being the top scorer with his 56 runs off 22 balls. Shanaka smashed two fours and six sixes and batted with a strike rate of over 250.
