Ind Vs WI 2023: The second day of the first test match between India and West Indies ended with India in total control. When the bails went off and the day was completed, India had a lead of 162 runs.
On the second day, India scored 232 runs with the loss of just 2 wickets. Which took their score to 312 runs by the end of the second day. And that means that India has almost grasped the match completely and West Indies has a mountain to climb if they want to save this test.
Undoubtedly the main pillar of the Indian inning was Yashasvi Jaiswal on the second day. Who on his debut, broke several records and is on the verge of breaking more. Let's take a look at the records he broke.

As soon as Jaiswal hit the three-digit mark he established himself with some of the greats of the game. He became the 17th Indian and only 3rd Indian opener to score a century on his debut. He also broke the highest partnership for the first wicket in overseas with Rohit Sharma.
Yashasvi Jaiswal also broke the record for most runs on debut for India. He is on 144 right now. The second-highest score that he broke was of Sourav Ganguly of 131 runs. He has also broken the record for most balls faced by an Indian batter on debut.

By the end of the second day, India was in firm control of the match. They surely can't lose it from here. The way it looks, India can bat the complete 3rd day as well. With a lead already of 162 runs, West Indies is firmly out of this game and only a miracle can save them.
