India vs Australia: Kohli dented after Aussies fire but failed to go big

India captain Virat Kohli held one end strongly in the opening Test match against Australia, suffered the brunt of being run out at the wrong time and Australia removed his six wickets for 233 on Thursday on the opening day of the first cricket test of Day Night.

At one time, Australia was out of hand and Kohli was looking towards scoring a century by scoring 74 runs, but he was run out and the dice were turned. Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane called for Kohli to take a run but later backed down. Kohli runs out.

Shortly before the second new ball was taken, Kohli was run out. This is the second occasion in Test cricket while Kohli was run out. Earlier in 2012, he was run out in Adelaide. At one time India’s score was 188 for three wickets which were 206 for six.

At the end of the first day’s play, Ravichandran Ashwin was playing 15 and Wriddhiman Saha scored nine runs. The first day’s pitch was very challenging for the batsmen.
