India vs England 2nd Test: World Test Championship at stake, Rohit hits century after visitors scalp Kohli for a duck

World Test Championship is at the stake in the second Test match between India and England. India has won the toss and opted to bat first in the Chennai Test.

The Indian team lost the first three wickets in quick succession but later opener Rohit Sharma held the crease along with the vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane.

Rohit went on scoring his 7th Test century while Rahane is going forward with a promising and supportive innings along with the opener.

Indian team made 3 changes in the squad they brought in Mohammad Siraj, Axar Patel who is making his debut, and also the china-man bowler Kuldeep Yadav.

Opener Shubhman Gill and captain Virat Kohli got out for a duck and it's been more than a year since Virat scored a hundred in international cricket.

The second Test between India and England is being played with 50% crowd in the stadium and its the first time since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic that crowd is back in the game in India.
