India vs England: England Ahead after Root's century

After almost a year international cricket is back in India. Indian team is playing their first Test series on home soil since 2019.

On the opening day of play, England captain Joe Root scored a brilliant century, and the opener Dominic Sibley has also contributed with his half-century and a 150 plus stand with the captain.

Root scored an emphatic 128 runs while Sibley scored 87 runs. Indian team is with three spinner and the inured players like Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravichandran Ashwin are also back in the Indian line up.

Bumrah who is also playing his first Test match in India has picked up 2 wickets while Ashwin picked one.
