India’s first concussion substitute Chahal stars in the victory against Australia

Discussions of India’s first T20 match against Australia gained momentum when Yuzvendra Chahal, a leg-spinner who was included in the playing eleven as a concussion substitute in place of Ravindra Jadeja, proved to be the hero of Team India’s victory.

Please tell that in this match, Yuzvendra Chahal was not included in the playing eleven in the beginning. Chahal was included as a connected institution of Ravindra Jadeja during India’s bowling.

Jadeja got hurt by Mitchell Starc’s bouncer in the last over of the Indian innings. He was seen groaning painfully while running between the wickets. The BCCI tweeted, “Ravindra Jadeja gets the ball at the helmet in the last over of the first innings in the first T20 match. Yuzvendra Chahal landed on the field during India’s fielding.

BCCI’s medical team is monitoring Jadeja’s condition. Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs in this match. Jadeja may not play the remaining two T20Is as he is crucial player for India in the upcoming mega Test series.
