A few Apple iPhone (iOS) users notified that their app crashed after only 30 seconds of use. The majority of people were able to see our Instagram followers decline, but soccer enthusiasts were able to spot a significant decline in Cristiano Ronaldo's followers, one of the most well-known players in the world.

Reason of outage is still unknown

In the course of the Instagram outage, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the most followed user, lost about 3 million followers. Ronaldo currently has 493 million Instagram followers, but during the four-hour downtime and before the service was restored, the number of followers significantly decreased. Virat Kohli's Instagram followers had a similar reduction throughout the significant outage. Around 221 million people follow Virat Kohli on Instagram at the moment, which also makes him the most followed Indian celeb on Instagram.

The cause of the Instagram outage has still not been disclosed by Meta. It should be noted that this is the second time in a month that a service owned by Meta has experienced a significant outage. A well-known texting service was previously unavailable to customers in numerous nations a few days ago. Users of WhatsApp were unable to send or receive messages throughout the outage.
