Chennai Super Kings (CSK) staff members have been found positive for the COVID-19, after which the franchise was asked to extend the quarantine period for all the players and support staffs ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

A source associated with the league said that the COVID-19 test was done for entire team after their arrival on the first, third, and sixth day. The upcoming season of IPL will start from 19 September.

Another source stated PTI on condition of confidentiality, “Yes, apart from a right-arm medium pacer playing for India recently, some franchise members have come positive on the COVID-19 investigation.”

“As far as we have come to know, apart from the senior officials associated with CSK management and his wife, at least two members of the franchise’s social media team are also vulnerable to the Corona virus.”

After his statement, many speculations are been made on the only player who was tested positive for the coronavirus. According to the PTI source, the player is a fast bowler playing for India recently. So, it might be Deepak Chahar because he is the only fast bowler who has represented India in recent times.
