IPL 2020: Iyer states reason for Delhi Capital’s poor form in latter part

After the 88-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Shreyas Iyer said that his team had lost the match in the power play itself. But he is confident of entering in the play-offs by registering a win in the next two games.

Iyer said, “This is a big defeat, but we cannot celebrate the think more about the defeat at this time. Right now we have two more matches to play and just need one win. We have been waiting for that win for the last three games. This loss will inspire us to perform well in the remaining matches.”

Iyer further said, “Delhi scored 77 runs in the power play and we lost the match right there. We have to come out with a strong and positive mindset and the moral should not be broken by these defeats. The performance before these three matches has to be kept in mind.”
