IPL 2023: After the IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitely Stadium on Saturday (May 6), Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly exchanged handshakes. The fans were eagerly anticipating this moment, wondering if the two cricketing legends would indeed shake hands. Finally, at the conclusion of the game, when the players and officials from both teams were exchanging handshakes, the much-awaited moment occurred.

Virat Kohli – Sourav Ganguly handshake post-RCB vs DC IPL 2023 match

After their handshake, Ganguly extended his admiration towards Kohli by applauding him and patting him on the shoulder. It is worth mentioning that during the previous encounter between these two teams in Bengaluru, the two legends did not exchange handshakes. Putting the incidents of last month behind them, the former national captains pleasantly surprised the fans by exchanging handshakes

In the previous match, Kohli appeared to give a death stare to the former BCCI president. It was during Ganguly’s tenure as the BCCI president that Kohli lost his captaincy in ODIs. Subsequently, in the 2021/22 season, he relinquished his captaincy in T20Is and Tests as well.

DC maintained their winning streak, securing their second consecutive victory. In pursuit of a challenging target of 182, led by David Warner, the team only lost three wickets and successfully completed the task in 16.4 overs.

On the other hand, for RCB, Virat Kohli and Mahipal Lomror took charge with the bat. Kohli showcased his skills with a 55-run knock off 46 balls, while Lomror remained unbeaten on 54 runs from just 29 balls. With this triumph, DC has climbed to the 9th position, while RCB maintains its position at 5th in the standings.
