IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony: The highly anticipated Indian Premier League has kicked off today with a star-studded dazzling IPL opening ceremony. The ceremony began at 6 PM today with Mandira Bedi starting the proceedings at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad where the first match of the season between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans is scheduled to take place. Arijit Singh started off the ceremony with an over 30-minute long performance.

Stars dazzle at IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony began with Arijit Singh playing piano whilst singing his numerous hit songs. He then took the centre of the grand stage and continued to light up the stadium with his melodious voice and uncountable hit songs. He then took a tour of the ground on a mini-car whilst singing and had the crowd jumping with excitement as he toured around.

Just after Arijit’s performance, Actress Tamannaah took to the stage and danced off to several songs from Bollywood and South. After an almost 10-minute performance, Pushpa fame Rashmika took over the stage with a loud cheer from the crowd and entertained the crowd with her dance performance. After a 10-minute long performance, the three of them were called upon stage by Mandira Bedi and thanked them for their performance.

The first match of the tournament will kick off between MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans at 07:30 PM. Gujarat Titans were the winners of the last season, which was actually their first-ever in the tournament as well.
