This season has been sensational for Sai so far. He is one of the orange cap contenders right now but there was one criticism always surrounding him. That criticism was his low strike rate that always kept him in the firing lines of criticism.
But in the last few matches, he has put that criticism aside. Not only he is scoring good runs, but he is doing that with a good strike rate. Sunday was same as we saw the prime Sai Sudarshan in all his glory.

Sai had to come early to bat as Saha was dismissed in the first over only. The pitch was not a belter and needed some kind of patience from the batsman. Sai showed that grit and as the pitch settled down, he started taking the attack to the bowling side.
He remained not out on 84 runs in just 49 deliveries. Considering the pitch, this was a sensational inning with a strike rate of 171. Sudarshan hit 8 boundaries and 4 sixes in this inning. This inning by Sudarsan has also put him in the second position for the Orange cap and now he is just 15 runs behind Virat Kohli.
Not only that but these performances have made Sai Sudarshan a proper contender for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Indian squad.
