In the auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL), Umesh Yadav was bought by Delhi Capitals for his base price of Rs 1 crore. Former Indian team opener Gautam Gambhir expressed surprise at the price that Umesh Yadav got. He said that, it is very surprising news, there are not many bowlers in the world who can bowl at a speed of 135-140 km per hour.
Gautam Gambhir said, “Delhi have played the right bet by buying Yadav. Along with Ishant Sharma, the team needed such an experienced Indian fast bowler. Apart from Ishant, the team had the option of fast bowling only Tushar Deshpande.
