IPL Auction 2026: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has picked uncapped all-rounder Prashant Veer for a whopping Rs 14.20 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Who’s Prashant Veer?

Veer has now become the costliest uncapped player ever in the history of IPL. The 20-year-old is a left-arm spin bowling all-rounder from Uttar Pradesh.

Veer will be expected to fill in the big shoes of Ravindra Jadeja.

Uncapped allrounder Auqib Dar has rewritten IPL auction history by becoming the second costliest Indian in the IPL auction 2026 at Rs 8.40 crore (Delhi Capitals).

Who is Auqib Dar?

The 29-year-old pace bowler from Jammu & Kashmir has delivered powerful performances in the domestic circuit.

Dar picked up 15 wickets in the ongoing SMAT 2025. He was the only pacer among the top-five wicket-takers in the first half of the season in the Ranji Trophy as well.

In his last T20 game, Dar (also known as Auqib Nabi) smashed a stunning 32 off 21 balls batting lower down the order. Thereafter, he took 3 tickets for just 19 runs in four overs against a top-class lineup that included big names such as Rajat Patidar, Venkatesh Iyer and Aniket Verma – all IPL regulars.

Dar had listed himself at the base price of Rs. 30 lakh. Delhi Capitals who lost pacer Mohit Sharma to retirement went all guns blazing to get Dar on board.

Dar has become the most expensive player from Jammu & Kashmir. He now also has the distinction of being in the top 10 for most expensive uncapped players in IPL Auction history.
