IPL Viral Video: On Monday, April 24th, Delhi Capitals secured a thrilling 7-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, thanks to a superb all-round display from Axar Patel. During his sensational all-round performance, he dismissed the skipper Aiden Markram by bowling a short-length ball, the video of which is now making waves on social media.
Axar Patel’s epic wicket
In the current season, Delhi Capitals clinched their second win with the help of an influential all-round performance by their player. Axar Patel stepped in to bat during a tough situation when DC were struggling at 62 for 5, and he played a vital innings of 34 to guide his team towards a respectable total of 144 for 9 in the 20 overs allotted. Patel’s contribution with both bat and ball was crucial to the team’s victory.
Axar Patel also made a significant impact with the ball during the match. He provided a timely breakthrough by dismissing the well-set Mayank Agarwal for 49. In addition, he removed SRH captain Aiden Markram for just 3, causing the team to struggle at 85 for 5. These crucial wickets taken by Patel helped Delhi Capitals to maintain their momentum and secure the victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
By the end of 14th over, SRH were going swiftly on the chase and had scored 85 while losing four wickets. Axar Patel was then asked to bowl for bringing a breakthrough and he did exactly the same. Just on the first ball of the over, he bowled out Aiden Markram by throwing a short length ball, the SRH skipper couldn’t understand the spin and was left reeling as the ball knocked off stump. He was left shocked on what had transpired.

Axar Patel continued his excellent form and ended the match with an impressive bowling spell of 2 wickets for 21 runs off his 4 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad couldn’t recover from the setbacks caused by Patel’s crucial dismissals, ultimately falling 7 runs short of Delhi Capitals’ total. As a result of his excellent all-round performance, Axar Patel was named Man of the Match.
