IPL Viral Video: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a fantastic return to their home ground at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai after defeating Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs. CSK captain MS Dhoni had a noteworthy game, as he hit two big sixes and scored 12 runs off just 3 balls, bringing his total runs scored in the IPL to 5,000. Dhoni’s signature timing and skills were on display during his short innings. Meanwhile, CSK’s bowlers struggled a bit, as they gave away 13 wides and 3 no-balls, which did not go well with the skipper.
MS Dhoni’s Stern Message
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were unable to chase down the target of 218 runs and ended up scoring 205 for 7 in their innings. Kyle Mayers had a fantastic performance, scoring a blazing fifty, but it was not enough to secure a victory for his team. Nicholas Pooran also had an impressive innings, scoring 32 runs off just 18 balls, but CSK’s bowlers managed to restrict LSG’s batsmen from scoring the necessary runs for a win.
However, bowlers seemed to be under too much pressure as they constantly delivered wides. Tushar Deshpande even bowled an 11-ball over because of wides and no balls. In the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni straightaway said, “They’ll have to bowl no no balls and less wides. We are bowling too many extra deliveries and need to cut them out otherwise they’ll be playing under a new captain.”

Continuing further, he stated, “It was a terrific game, high-scoring game. All of us were thinking how the wicket will be. We had that doubt. It was a high-scoring game. Overall I think it was a perfect first game that happened and it was a full house for the first game in 5 or 6 years since we’ve been here. I thought it will be much slower. It was a wicket where you could score runs but overall it got a bit slower. We’ll have to see how it plays over the next six games at home but hopefully we can score here.”
