IPL: Yuzvendra Chahal Slams RCB Board; Was Angry After The Snub; Read Here

IPL: In the latest Ranveer Allahbadiya podcast, Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal opened up about his RCB snub and how angry and disappointed he was then. Chahal also opened up about how grateful he is to the franchise and how he has improved.

The leg spinner was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore for 8 years and was a significant part of their team for the entirety. Right now, Chahal is the highest wicket-taker in IPL with 187 wickets.

People were really shocked when RCB did not retain him and let him go. Many rumors came out amidst the snub and cleared all the air. Let’s take a look at the podcast and what Chahal said.

‘Grateful Yet Dissapointed’

Chahal stated that he was grateful to RCB for giving him the chance. Because of the franchise, he was able to make his mark and get into the Indian team. He is grateful for the trust that Virat Kohli showed him.

He further stated that when you spend 8 years with a team, it feels like a family. Indian international further clarified that the rumor about him asking for a huge amount of money was also false. And it broke his heart when no one communicated to him about that.

“What I felt really bad about was there was no phone call, no communication. At least have a talk.” The leg spinner stated.

Improved As An IPL Bowler

After joining Chahal, the spinner has become a stalemate in the Indian team. He has improved as a bowler and has also started bowling in the death. He further stated that he has made peace with the fact that he was not retained.

“I realize the auction is a very unpredictable place. So, I made peace with the fact that whatever happens, happens for good. At RR, I started bowling at the death. Often, my quota would be completed before 16 overs in RCB. So, I think I grew as a cricketer in RR as well. So, whatever happened, happened for good.”
