Jasprit Bumrah gets married to Sanjana Ganesan in a Sikh ceremony

India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has tied the nuptial knot with sports presenter and anchor Sanjana Ganesan on Monday. Reports of the two getting married had been making rounds on the internet but it wasn't until sure until the couple themselves took to their social media handles to share the news.

Bumrah took to Instagram to share two adorable pictures from the wedding ceremony and said that it is the happiest day of their lives.

"Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.' Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana," the cricketer captioned the pictures.

The wedding appears to be a private affair with only close friends and family member in attendance.

As soon as the couple shared the pics, they were flooded with warm wishes from friends and family alike. , Saqib Saleem congratulated the couple while Ammy Virk wrote “Waheguruji bless you.” Krunal Pandya wished the couple a “happy married life to the love couple.” Suresh Raina wished Sanjana and Jasprit a “great life ahead.”

His Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians also extended warm wishes and shared the pictures on their official Instagram handle. "Bumrah bowled over by Sanjana. Here's wishing love, laughter, and a happily ever after for @Jaspritbumrah93 and @SanjanaGanesan," Mumbai Indians tweeted.

Earlier this months, ANI had reported that Bumrah had asked BCCI for some time off as he was planning to tie the knot. "He informed the BCCI that he is getting married and has taken the leave to help in preparations for the big day," the news agency quoted a source as saying.
