Joe Root's ton put India on backfoot

Joe Root has scored yet another century in the ongoing Test series against India. Root came to bat under pressure and yet again he stood tall against the Indian pace attack.

Root shared a century partnership with Jonny Bairstow (57) and a 54-run partnership with Jos Buttler (23) to lead the home side into a position from where they can eye lead. India had made 364 in their first innings.

Moeen Ali was unbeaten 20 off 31 balls.

England are just few runs away from India's first innings score and Indian pacers were helpless in front of Root and Bairstow at a time and after Barstow got out Moeen Ali is making most of his comeback in the Test side.

Mohammed Siraj was the star with the ball for India as he took 3 English top wickets.
