Junaid Siddique: Tuesday's T20 World Cup 2022 group A match between United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka featured two incredible moments from the odds. Karthik Meiyappan, a Chennai native, notched a hat-trick, but his teammate Junaid Siddique also grabbed attention after blasting a massive 109-meter six, the longest of the competition thus yet.
Even though Sri Lanka went on to win the match by a comfortable 79 runs, their first victory of the T20 World Cup 2022, it was by no means a dull match.

UAE were dismissed for 73 runs after a remarkable 3-wicket bowling performance from Dushmantha Chameera, but not before he was hit for a 109-run six by Junaid. The incident happened in the 17th over when Chameera bowled a full-length delivery that Junaid blasted with all of his strength over the ropes. Watch Video:
The UAE batsman briefly celebrated after the ball travelled a great distance and struck the stadium top by flexing his muscles. Although the contest's outcome was predicted, it was a successful highlight reel for the UAE athlete and his squad.

In order to dominate in the Group A encounter and significantly increase their NRR at the Simonds Stadium, Sri Lanka put on a display of quick bowling.
As a result of Sri Lanka's impressive comeback following their loss against Namibia, their NRR (+0.60) has surpassed that of the Netherlands (+0.15). Should Netherlands and Sri Lanka both win their remaining games, the outcome may come down to the net run rate.
