KKR vs PBKS IPL 2023: After missing out on several games due to injury, Shikhar Dhawan has found his place back and has also announced his return to form with a staggering fifty. Furthermore, this is also his 50th fifty in the tournament, making him only the third batter, after Warner & Kohli to achieve the record.
Shikhar Dhawan's bat roared once more following a month-long hiatus, as he dismantled the bowlers of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 53rd match of IPL 2023. Leading the Punjab Kings, Dhawan achieved a fifty in just 41 deliveries, marking his third fifty of the season. An intriguing aspect of his innings was the fact that he scored 48 runs off 40 balls, primarily through nine boundaries. Despite not hitting a single six until then, Dhawan concluded his fifty by smashing a six off Sunil Narine.
A month ago, Dhawan recorded his second fifty of the season, accomplishing two consecutive half-centuries. In a match against Sunrajers Hyderabad, he narrowly missed out on a century, remaining unbeaten on 99. Unfortunately, his form experienced a setback following that inning. Furthermore, due to fitness issues, he was unable to participate in several matches. Upon his return, he struggled to surpass the 30-run mark in three consecutive matches. However, ending the anticipation, he finally achieved a half-century in his latest outing.
His inning was short-lived after the fifty as he was dismissed for a score of 57 runs in 47 balls, hitting 9 boundaries and a maximum after being caught out by Vaibhav Arora.
