KKR's Varun, Sandeep returns to Chennai after mandatory quarantine, both tested COVID positive earlier

Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakravarthy and fast bowler Sandeep Warrier, who were tested positive for COVID-19, which resulted in the postponment of the Indian Premier League have reached back to their homes in Chennai after serving a mandatory quarantine in Ahmedabad.

They were the first two players to test positive for COVID-19. Following them, three players from other teams Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings in New Delhi have tested positive for COVID-19.

KKR further reported two more COVID cases with New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman Tim Seifert and Indian pace bowler M Prasidh, Krishna, testing COVID positive.

Seifert is being treated in Chennai at the same hospital where CSK's batting coach Micheal Hussey is being treated, Krishna is in Bengaluru in-home quarantine and isolation.
