KL Rahul: Right-handed batsman and India's star opener was let down by his early departure in the second over of the T20 World Cup semifinal match against England at the Adelaide Oval. Rahul had only scored five runs. The right-handed batsman chased a wide delivery from Chris Woakes and ultimately surrendered a straightforward catch to Jos Buttler. The hitter was at the crease for only five balls, and during that time, he hit one boundaries, one of which came in the first ball Ben Stokes bowled.

He had earlier hit two consecutive fifties and was deemed to have returned in form, but his failure against the big team i.e. England in a crucial match was not well liked by the fans.
