KL Rahul: Flop show against strong team continues for India’s star opener; Gets trolled by Netizens

KL Rahul: Right-handed batsman and India’s star opener was let down by his early departure in the second over of the T20 World Cup semifinal match against England at the Adelaide Oval. Rahul had only scored five runs. The right-handed batsman chased a wide delivery from Chris Woakes and ultimately surrendered a straightforward catch to Jos Buttler. The hitter was at the crease for only five balls, and during that time, he hit one boundaries, one of which came in the first ball Ben Stokes bowled.

In the five T20 World Cup games KL Rahul has played against teams listed in the top eight rankings, this is his fourth score in the single digits.

England won the toss and chose to bowl first in the currently playing match between India and England.

India made no alterations to their playing lineup, but England did, replacing Mark Wood and the injured Dawid Malan with Phil Salt and Chris Jordon.
