The wedding season is in full swing and Indian cricket fans have another reason to celebrate today (March 14, 2026). Team India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav is marrying his childhood sweetheart Vanshika Chadha in the scenic hill station of Mussoorie. The ceremony comes just days after India’s T20 World Cup 2026 win, where Kuldeep’s “Chinaman” bowling stood out.
Vanshika Chadha works at the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). She and Kuldeep grew up just three kilometres apart in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Their childhood friendship later turned into love. Vanshika has been a steady and supportive presence in Kuldeep’s life since his Under-19 cricket days.
The couple got engaged on June 4, 2025, in Lucknow. The private event was attended by family, close friends, and teammate Rinku Singh. The wedding was first planned for November 2025, but was postponed so Kuldeep could focus on cricket and the T20 World Cup defence.

The main ceremony is at the historic Welcomhotel The Savoy, which has been booked entirely for three days for privacy. Pre-wedding festivities began on March 13 with Haldi and Mehendi events. Cricket friends like Rinku Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal and T Dilip attended.
The guest list reads like a cricket hall of fame. Legends including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and ICC Chairman Jay Shah are expected. The wedding invitations were royal, with Radha-Krishna designs, gold foil and floral patterns. Each card reportedly costs Rs 2,200.

The wedding menu celebrates Mussoorie’s mountain flavours with Pahari (Uttarakhandi) and Kanpuriya cuisine. The “Taste of the Mountains” menu includes Maduva roti (ragi), red rice, Gahat dal (horse gram), Phanu, Chaansu, Kandali saag (stinging nettle), Kumaoni raita and Bhang ki Chutney. Dessert is the signature Jhangora kheer.
Platinum and Gold options feature four types of vegetarian and non-vegetarian snacks, premium salads, and main courses with special Paneer and regional Dal dishes. The bar offers top-end drinks, including Dom Perignon, Moet & Chandon, The Glenlivet 18 YO, and Glenfiddich 18 YO.
Grand Reception In Lucknow
The celebrations continue on March 17 with a grand reception at Hotel Centrum, Lucknow. VVIPs like Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BCCI officials, politicians and celebrities are expected. This will likely be one of the state’s largest social gatherings this year.
