Kyle Mayers: In the opening T20I of the two-match series on Wednesday in Queensland, Australia defeated West Indies by three wickets. As the hosts attempted to reach their goal of 146 runs in the penultimate over, their captain Aaron Finch and wicketkeeper batsman Matthew Wade shone. For his tenacious 58 runs off 53 balls, Finch was named player of the game. The Windies' opening batsman Kyle Mayers scored the most runs for his side, with 39 off 36 balls.

Mayers' knock included five fours and a stylish six, and the video of it quickly went popular on the internet. The incredible shot was accomplished after Cameron Green bowled a nice length delivery; he made room and hit the ball square of the wicket. Watch the video here:

However, Australia later won the match and now the series is drawn. On October 7, the Gabba will host the second and final game of the series between the two countries.
