Lionel Messi: Ace footballer wishes 'Happy New Year 2023' with a heartfelt message on social media

Lionel Messi had a fantastic year in 2022, winning the World Cup like he had always wanted to. In order to break their trophy drought, the Argentine urged his team to compete all the way and defeat the 2018 winners France.

The 35-year-old wrote a tearful letter to his "amazing family" and friends, thanking them for their unwavering support and refusal to let him down. Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties in the World Cup final in Qatar thanks to Messi's inspiration.

The Golden Ball, an honour awarded to the tournament's top performer, greatly enhanced the player's memory of the experience. The 35-year-old and his Argentina teammate then celebrated enthusiastically. Messi, who is yet to return to playing professional football with Paris Saint-Germain, is enjoying himself in 2023. On the first day of the year 2023, he posted photos of himself and his family.

Messi wrote, ""Termina un ano que jamas podre olvidar. El sueno que siempre persegui por fin se cumplio. Pero eso no valdria tampoco nada si no fuera porque puedo compartirlo con una familia maravillosa, la mejor que se puede tener, y unos amigos que me apoyan siempre y no dejaron que me quedara en el piso cada vez que me cai.
