“Lot of time” to think on IPL 2022 participation, says MS Dhoni

Keeping aside all the speculations on his participation in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has said that he is yet to decide to play for the franchise next year.

The former Indian skipper said that he is not in any hurry to come to any decision as there is ample of time for the coming season in India.

“I will think about it, there is a lot of time, right now we are just in November. IPL 2022 will be played in April,” said Dhoni at an event in Chennai.

The lengedary wicket-keeper batsman retired from international cricket in August 2020 more than a year after his last participation in the ‘Blues’ back in England during World Cup semifinal against New Zealand.

“When it comes to the farewell, you can come and see me play for CSK, and that can be my farewell game. So you will get the opportunity to bid me farewell. Hopefully, we will come to Chennai and play my last game over there and can meet all the fans.”
