Manchester United: Apple has no plans to purchase Premier League club Manchester United, contrary to initial claims that suggested that the tech giant is eyeing for the club. It was earlier reported that Apple is interested to buy Manchester United and was even ready to pay uptill 7 billion dollars. This news has been followed by the millions of football fans who earlier speculated on Man Utd. becoming the richest club after Apple's purchase.

Apple won't buy Manchester United: Reports

The rumour is incorrect, and the tech giant has no plans to invest in Manchester United, according to the sources. According to a rumour spread out earlier, Apple has expressed interest in purchasing Manchester United, however new reports with firsthand knowledge of the issue says this is untrue.

Manchester United recently released star forward player Cristiano Ronaldo with a mutual agreement to end the contract as his term was not yet complete with the club. In an interview last week, Ronaldo had revealed on his dislike-ness for the club and manager who continued to allegedely annoy him on personal matter.

The tech giant Apple reportedly has interest in purchasing Manchester United for a staggering £5.8 billion, according to a report from Thursday. According to the story, United's owners, the Glazers, have chosen to sell the team after giving in to demands from supporters who had called for their removal.

Fans criticism led the owners to this decision

The Glazer family has had a significant stake in Premier League team Manchester United since 2005. Tuesday's club announcement stated that the club's board intended to "examine strategic alternatives," which may include a possible sale of the club. The breakout of this news coincided with Manchester United's announcement that star player Cristiano Ronaldo would be leaving the team.

Apple is currently dealing with strikes at its Zhengzhou facility in China as a result of past-due payments and annoyance with the country's strict Covid-19 regulations. However, these strikes have been going for couple of days now. Also, it was reported last month that the company is even willing to pay additional bonuses to employess so that they don't run away from the plant.
