Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is doubtful to play in the second ODI against India because according to the news, he got injured during the opening match of the series here on Friday.
Stoinis groaned painfully after throwing his second ball of the seventh over. He immediately left the field and Glenn Maxwell completed the over.
According to Cricket.com, a 31-year-old player has pain in the left side of the abdomen and scans will be done to know the severity of the injury.
All-rounder Cameron Green and Moises Henriques could be in the running for the second ODI at the SCG on Sunday due to Stoinis injury.
Steve Smith said, "I don't know what Stoinis is like." I have not seen him but hope he gets well. But if he is not well then someone will have to come in his place and someone who is a bowler maybe Cameron (Green). "Green is in good form both in bat and ball during the Sheffield Shield.
