Lionel Messi has created history yet again for his Barcelona FC but still, he is unable to stop his side from losing the two vital points at home against Cadiz.
Messi made his 506th appearence in the La Liga for Barca to overtake Xavi Hernadez’s record of 505 league appearence.
Messi also opened the game by scoring a 31st-minute penalty, although at the end that was not enough to give Barca all three points after Alex Fernandez scored a late penalty for the visitors.
Barcelona went into the game after 4-1 humiliation to Paris Saint-German in the Champions League, on the other hand, Cadiz were thrashed 4-0 at home to Athletic Club Bilbao.
The result left Barca eight points behind Atletico Madrid and five points behind Real Madrid.
