During the toss at the Wankhede Stadium for the game between between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), MI Captain Hardik Pandya flipped the coin.
A broadcast glitch happened after KKR Captain Ajinkya Rahane called for tails. However, viewers were unable to see which side the coin had landed on (heads or tails). Surprisingly, Mumbai Indians were awarded the toss and many KKR fans accused the IPL 2026 organizers of favouring Mumbai.
