In the Asia Cup’s 50-over format, Siraj became the second bowler to achieve a 6-wicket haul, with the first being Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis, who took 6/13 against India in 2008. During the Asia Cup 2023 final at the R Premadasa Stadium, Indian speedster Siraj delivered a remarkable spell that dismantled Sri Lanka’s batting lineup, concluding their first innings in just 15.2 overs.
