Lionel Messi: came out and spoke for the first time since joining Inter Miami after his stint at PSG. In his first press conference ahead of the Leagues Cup final, the World Cup winner revealed some shocking details about his time at the Paris-based club.

The Argentine revealed that he is still getting used to Florida's hot and humid climate, but the transition was so much simpler when he was at PSG. But the reason for the transition being difficult in PSG is so much different.

Messi was entirely vocal about his time at the French club and did not hold back. He revealed how the move was hard for him and his family and how they are loving it in America.

'Never Wanted To Join PSG'

The Copa America winner shockingly stated that he never wanted to join PSG. He clarified that he never wanted to leave his childhood club Barcelona. He would have loved to stay at the Spanish club but that was not possible because of the club's financial situation.

Lionel Messi further revealed that PSG was not the planned or desired location for him and his family. It was an overnight decision that they had to take because of the circumstances.

The seven times Balon D'or winner stated that his time in Florida is completely different as compared to Paris. He further stated that he is loving his time here and is settling quite nicely in the city.

The reason being that it was not an overnight decision and this decision was made over a long period of time. Messi further stated that winning the Leagues Cup on Sunday will be incredible for him, for the fans, and for the club itself and he is excited for it.
