New Zealand Cricket is confident for hosting 37 days of international cricket

New Zealand recently survived 100 days without community transmission of the deadly coronavirus

New Zealand Cricket is confident of hosting international matches in the country later this year and also looking forward of setting up a bio-secure bubble as England did against West Indies last month and Pakistan series in the current month. New Zealand recently survived 100 days without community transmission of the deadly coronavirus and now NZC is urging to bring cricket back after COVID-19 barred the sporting events in the country back in March.

West Indies, Pakistan, Australia and Bangladesh were previously scheduled to travel to New Zealand this year but most of them are cancelled amid coronavirus pandemic. The chief of New Zealand Cricket, David White still remains hopeful of the countries travel New Zealand for their respective series.

The schedule can be released in the coming days.

“We are making tremendous progress. I was just on the phone to the West Indies, they’re confirmed, Pakistan is confirmed, Australia and Bangladesh… so 37 days of international cricket,” White as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

“We’ll just be held up for a week or two while we work with the government agencies on the managed isolation but they’ve been extremely supportive,” he added Apart from all these another concern is that the teams haven’t played a single match since March this year.
