Neymar Jr: A very good news for every Indian footballing fan as Brazilian star Neymar Jr. will play in Mumbai very soon. The draws for AFC Champions League 2023 were just revealed and it showcased Mumbai City FC being in the same group as Saudi side Al Hilal.
Neymar just made the headlines after joining the Saudi-based club a few weeks ago. The draws were made in Kuala Lumpur with a total of 10 groups being formed. There will be 40 teams in the competition to win Asia’s biggest club prize.
Mumbai City FC qualified for the Champions League after winning the ISL 2022-23. They are part of the strong group as Al Hilal is the Saudi League champion. With players like Neymar Jr. Milinkovic Savic and Bonou have just joined them.

Mumbai-based franchise is the sole Indian club in the tournament. They will be playing their home matches at Balewadi Stadium in Pune. As every team will face each other twice in the group stage, we will see Neymar land in India for one of them.
The other big-name players in Al Hilal include Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergie Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Yassine Bouno. All these players have played in the biggest league and will prove a tough challenge to the Indian club.

Al Nassr will also be part of the competition as they qualified after winning the league cup. This will be the first time that Al Nassr will play in this competition as Cristiano Ronaldo led his team to the finals.
It will be a huge deal for an Indian club to host such amazing players because of the revenue. While Playing against them will help them increase their quality as well.
