Their exceptional performance made history as they became the first duo from New Zealand to score double centuries in the same Test match, putting them in a select group of 18 pairs who have achieved this feat in Test cricket. Partnership record between Kiwi stars
Kane and Henry set a new record in New Zealand by becoming the first pair to score double-hundreds in the same first-class innings. Notably, they also hold the distinction of being the first New Zealand pair to have multiple triple-century partnerships. The first such partnership occurred in 2021 when they scored a record-breaking 369 runs for the fourth wicket against Pakistan in Christchurch.
