ICC ODI World Cup 2023: On Monday, August 28th, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) introduced the new Star Nation Jersey during a special ceremony conducted at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. The event was done in the presence of PCB chief Zaka Ashraf, who joined Usman Waheed, the director of the PCB’s Commercial wing, at the ceremony.

As per the Pakistan Cricket Board, the newly unveiled jersey has been made with the inspiration of Pakistan's former cricketers who have demonstrated remarkable performances at the most esteemed cricket tournaments worldwide. The design of the New Jersey was conceptualized by drawing inspiration from celestial bodies, as each astronomical star symbolizes brilliance and aspiration. The luminous glow signifies the accomplishments of the Pakistan Cricket Team.

Led by Babar Azam, the Men in Green currently hold the top position in the ODI team rankings globally. This accomplishment, achieved ahead of the commencement of the ODI World Cup 2023, is poised to bolster the team's self-assurance throughout the tournament. Following their triumph over Afghanistan in a three-match ODI series and showcasing exceptional performance, Babar Azam was also acclaimed as the world's number-one ODI batsman.

Ahead of the grand tournament's commencement, Pakistan is set to participate in the Asia Cup 2023, slated to kick off on Wednesday, August 30th. In the tournament's inaugural match, the Men in Green will face Nepal at the Multan International Stadium. To unveil the jersey, the PCB shared a special video on their official social media platform, captioned, "The Big Reveal is here! Unveiling the Star Nation Jersey’23."

Pakistan's journey in the ODI World Cup 2023 will commence on October 6th, as they face the Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Undoubtedly, the highly anticipated match of the tournament is scheduled for October 14th, featuring a clash between the Men in Green and India at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
