Ranji Trophy 2022-23: One of the promising young players from Jharkhand, Saurabh Tiwari, rose to prominence for his outstanding batting and hairdo, which was similar of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Saurabh Tiwari was previously thought of as the upcoming star of Indian cricket due to his ability to consistently hit boundaries.

But in the face of fierce competition at the national level, the middle-order batter faded away. However, Tiwari is currently representing Jharkhand in the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy season and is in excellent form with the bat. But before we speak on his batting abilities, Tiwari has been making news for a viral video in which he is seen correcting a cricket fan who was making fun of him during the Jharkhand vs. Saurashtra match.

The cricket fan called out Tiwari's name and inquired about his availability to bat in the middle, as can be seen in the video, in an attempt to appear overly clever. While the cricket fan was polite in his first two calls, he crossed the line when he stated, "Abe Saurabh, kab jayega batting karne?" The Indian cricketer who went and ordered the cricket fan to keep his temper in check and watch the game was clearly irritated by the call.

Despite being asked to speak reasonably, the cricket fan answered angrily and abruptly, using abusive language to inform Tiwari that he was unable to play the game. That infuriated Saurabh to the point where he dashed to confront the cricket fan.

Saurabh scored a magnificient century

In the first innings of the match against Saurashtra, Tiwari scored a magnificent 165 runs off just 237 deliveries. The veteran's stunning century, along with stellar bowling from Shahbaz Nadeem and Anukul Roy, enabled the team defeat Saurashtra by nine wickets.
