Ravindra Jadeja joins Saurashtra in Chennai

Saurashtra’s coach Niraj Odedra said, “His training and workload will be in accordance with the National Cricket Academy (NCA) protocols. I sent Jaddu a WhatsApp text informing him that the boys were ecstatic to have him back. He quickly responded, expressing his eagerness to reunite with the team. It had been a while since he had played Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra. Having a player of his caliber join the team is a tremendous boost to morale.”

At the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Ravindra Jadeja’s second home stadium and the place where the Chennai Super Kings player who captained the Yellow Army throughout the first half of the Indian Premier League 2022’s season will play against Tamil Nadu in the Elite Group B match. From January 24 through January 27, this eagerly awaited contest will take place.

Ravindra Jadeja injury

After sustaining a knee injury last year that necessitated surgery, this will be Ravindra Jadeja’s first game in five months. He was forced to withdraw from the 2022 T20 World Cup due to this tragic setback, although he had just been nominated to the team for the trip of Bangladesh before being removed once more. Jadeja is confident that he will play again despite the setbacks.

Ravindra Jadeja has been selected by the selectors to play in the first two Test matches against Australia, but before he can be guaranteed a spot in the starting lineup, he must prove his health in the Ranji Trophy. Jadeja, along with R Ashwin, is a lock to start, therefore if India decides on playing three spinners, Axar Patel would have to make room for him.
