Ravindra Jadeja: The Border-Gavaskar Trophy match between India and Australia, which begins on February 9, may be the opportunity for India’s great all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to make his return to the national team in white after more than three months away. Jadeja posted on Twitter that he “misses” wearing his Indian jersey and that he wants to soon do so. He shared a photo of his Test jersey, which has the number 8.

Ravindra Jadeja to make comeback in Ranji

India will benefit from the return of ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who is anticipated to take the ground in Saurashtra’s last Ranji Trophy game, which starts on January 24. In September of last year, Jadeja was forced to withdraw from the Asia Cup due to right knee surgery. He was forced to miss the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia because of the injury, when India was eliminated in the semifinals following an embarrassing ten-wicket loss to England.

The 17-man Test team for the first part of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which begins in Nagpur on February 9, has been selected with him in it. He is now completing up his recovery at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

The all-rounder has been selected for the 17-person Test team for the home series against Australia that starts next month, although his selection is conditional on his fitness before the series.

Jadeja would only be taken into consideration for selection if the NCA certifies his fitness, the selectors made it clear. Jadeja reportedly started bowling and batting again earlier this week, but he must pass fitness tests before being deemed suitable for competitive cricket.

India’s Test squad for the first two Tests against Australia: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), R. Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat and Suryakumar Yadav.
